OPPO is continuing its efforts to expand its product lineup. The Chinese brand has reportedly been working on the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro models for some time. Reports so far have indicated that the models will follow a price/performance concept. The latest developments confirm the launch date of the new series.
When Will the OPPO K13 Turbo Series Be Introduced?
OPPO will unveil the K13 Turbo series on July 21. The company confirmed this through a promotional video, which also reveals some design details of the upcoming smartphones. A closer look at the video shows that the series will feature an active cooling system.
The cooling fan, placed under the rear camera, will include RGB lighting and operate with smart frequency adjustment. Despite all this, the phones will come with an IPX8 certification, meaning they will be water-resistant.
The K13 Turbo Pro will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and feature 16 GB of RAM. The device will sport a 6.8-inch flat OLED LTPS panel with a resolution of 2800 x 1280 and a 144 Hz refresh rate. It will have a 16 MP front camera and a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP auxiliary sensor. It will also feature a plastic frame and a short-focus fingerprint scanner.
The standard K13 Turbo will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chip. It is expected to share the same display and camera specifications as the Pro variant.
